There is no better experience than taking a trip to an outrageously beautiful country, where the magic of nature, adventure, and relaxation combined await you. Be part of Costa Rica’s authentic rural heritage in Santa Juana. Right from the hotel of your selection, you will be taken on an amazing tour of nature, conservation, and rural culture at a natural reserve in Santa Juana, a small town located approximately one hour away from Manuel Antonio. This area is quite rich in all kinds of species of birds such as the iconic and colorful Tucan. Upon arrival, you will taste first hand a delicious Costa Rican coffee, some homemade empanadas and fresh fruit before going on a one-hour hike along lush jungle-shrouded slopes. Follow the naturalistic guide who will lead you to an authentic sugar mill that is operated by massive oxen, and taste some sugar cane juice. From this point, you will be taken by car to a garden where you will be able to do some recreational fishing of Tilapias. Then, take a 10-minute walk to one of the region’s most pristine natural pool beneath a mesmerizing waterfall where you will be able to catch your breath and swim in its clear waters. After some relaxing time in the waterfall-swimming hole, you will be taken by car to Santa Juana’s Lodge to enjoy a traditional Campesino-style lunch while enjoying the panoramic view of Manuel Antonio National Park and the Pacific Ocean that fills the horizon. The perfect way to finish an all-day tour that will surely be one of the highlights of your trip to Costa Rica. Sometimes you just need a rustic and rural mountain adventure to provide an escape from every day stresses, responsibilities, and technological distractions.
